To Ambassador of Japan, Your Excellency, The Brothers from Serbia are shocked and saddened by the images coming from Japan this week. In such a terrible manner the nature has once again shown the human helplessness in an attempt to understand it fully and act in accordance with its laws. On behalf of the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, we wish to express our deepest sympathies, and heartfelt condolences, to the Japanese Brothers and to the Japanese people, and most especially to those who lost their family and friends in the earthquake, and subsequent tsunami. We would like to express admiration for the serenity that the Japanese people have demonstrated in the face of this tragedy from a natural disaster, and our hearts fell for everyone suffering in the aftermath. We are expressing our most sincere sympathies towards Japan, with the knowledge that this ancient country has weathered many a tragic event in its history, but has always come up stronger than ever before. In this difficult and serious moment you are defending not only the lives of your people but also the inheritance on which the modern civilization rests. Your Excellency, we are at your disposal, waiting to hear from your personnel a possible date and time for the meeting. We are left awestruck at how well coordinated efforts within Japan have been to come through this dark time, and hope for a speedy recovery for the nation. Please, accept the warmest greetings from our M. W. Grand Master, Petar Kostic. Our thoughts, faith and hope are with people of Japan. Grand Secretary for foreign relations T.H. |
