From 7th to 10th of May 2007, our delegation attended IX World Conference of Masonic Grand Lodges.

With 127 recognized Grand Lodges, 360 delegates and more than 250 additional participants, this was by far the largest international Masonic conference in the history of Freemasonry. Plenary sessions were held on 8th and 9th of May with over 20 presentations by representatives of various Grand Lodges from Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South and North America.

Among discussed subjects were questions related to the position of global Freemasonry and Masonic ideas in modern society as well as the conflict between basic Masonic principles and alienation of modern man. Many participants in this discussion suggested formation of Global Fraternity Network with aim to improve cooperation in areas of Masonic science and ethics, culture, history, assistance in professional and other improvements, organizing postgraduate studies on Masonry and exchange of experiences by means of study tours between Lodges and GL delegations.

Several committees were also formed and the delegation of RGLS expressed its interest to partake in workings of the Cultural Committee and the Committee for Young Masonic Leaders. Also, one of the main points was the subject of irregular Masonry, and Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia was named as a good example in solving this problem.
