What it means to be a Freemason ?

It is not surprising to hear this question. Even though Masons (or Freemasons) are members of the biggest and the oldest fraternity in the world, and even though many of their fathers, grandfathers or cousins are also Masons, there are still a lot of people who are not really sure what does it mean to be a Freemason. The answer is really simple...

Mason (or Freemason) is a member of fraternity known as Freemasonry. This fraternity comprises men that joined it for various reasons:

- There is a need in them to do something good towards the society.
- There is something good they want to do for their own inner self.
- They enjoy the company of people that they love and respect.

Mason is someone who has decided to feel good about himself, and about others. He is aware of the past; he looks after the future and acts in a way that will make the future a better place for everyone.
