More than 20 years has passed since a reestablishment of the Grand Lodge "Yugoslavia" - today "Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia". All this years, passing through various turbulence and dissension, through disagreements and divisions, we didn't have enough strength, we were not unite and committed to what is of the major importance for all of us. We didn't do enough to built our real Temple.

Last year, we celebrated a 90 year aniversary of our Grand Lodge. It reminded us on our predecessors that were working in their own Temple, in peace and harmony. This magnificent construction, light-giving centre was causing us a nostalgic feelings, but also a great hope that we will finally restore what was left by our predecessors. This legacy is great, and its most important part of it is a spiritual building of a Temple. Unfortunately this legacy didn't include a physical construction that was lost during the World War, together with many important documents, books and objects. Unlike many other Masonic museums and libraries throughout the World, due to this loss, we are not in position to be pride of our own Masonic collections.

A part of our history, evidences of a time was taken from us. But still, the spirit is there. witnessed by acts of our predecessors, great names of a Freemasonry. These acts are still floating over this country, in its universities, culture, science, art, economy and every day life of all of us.  They left us one testament - to continue on where they stopped. And in-spite of everything, we are trying to do so, and furthermore, we are succeeding, more and more.

Perhaps so many years had to pass, for us to grow, to become firm, to deserve respect that we have today. Perhaps we indeed needed maturity that we have today to deserve our new home - our Temple.

Now it is here, in front of us. We started its construction. All of us are participating together - no exceptions. After 70 years of being homeless, we continue exactly where our glorious Brethren of past had to stop, due to various reasons at the time.

Throughout the times, we made number of steps ahead, but only now, after we build our really Temple, we will again see, in front of us, a road used by our predecessors, proudly walking on it.
